Karl Rove finally explains the Bush Presidency: Brain Damage

Amateur neurologist, Karl Rove, drew attention to himself by suggesting that Hillary Clinton may have suffered a brain injury due to her famous concussion that occurred just before her #Banghazi testimony.

Unwittingly, perhaps, Rove may have provided an explanation for why the George W. Bush administration was such a disaster, and why Bush basically let Vice President Dick Cheney, and Rove, run the country for nearly 8 years.

I joked about it on twitter today, and it was the stuff of much ridicule among late night comedians and liberal bloggers at the time, but George W. Bush may have suffered a brain injury during his Presidency.

Yes. The infamous "choked on a pretzel" incident from Bush's 1st term. It happened, in fact, in January of 2002 while Bush was watching football in the White House.

According to the media reports at the time:

President Bush briefly lost consciousness Sunday after he choked on a pretzel while watching a football game on television in his living quarters, the White House said.

After fainting, the president tumbled to the floor from a couch, bruising his lower lip and suffering an abrasion the size of a half dollar on his left cheek, White House physician Dr. Richard Tubb said.

As any  neurologist will tell you, any time a person loses consciousness due to oxygen deprivation to the brain, there is a significant risk of a brain injury. So, according to Karl Rove's own standards or proof, Bush was possibly brain damaged from January 2002 through the remainder of his presidency. (Not to mention that he also had a Segway accident).

If so, it explains an awful lot.
